Kate’s style is warm, compassionate, engaged, and collaborative. She believes that therapy can be a transformative experience. She feels that the authentic connection, reflection, and support that therapy provides can work as an empowering and meaningful space for individuals to process past pain and work towards a more focused and sustained balance in their lives.

Kate works with individuals and couples and specializes in areas such as; depression, anxiety, trauma, career stress, parenting, communication, relational trust, and intimacy. Kate’s therapeutic approach is integrative but rooted in a relational model, meaning her work is grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship works as a model of stability, safety, and reflection. She pulls from theories of attachment and feminism and helps her clients explore and process present and past experiences that may be holding them back.

She has a background in art and music and has worked in high-paced professional work environments as well as in the entertainment industry. Her varied past experiences give her a deepened understanding of many of life’s demands and challenges.

Kate obtained an MA in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University, and trained at Counseling West Counseling Center. Her approach is mindful and culturally sensitive and she is LGBTQ+ affirmative. She looks forward to working with you as you embark on this healing journey.

You don’t have to go through hard things alone. It gives me great pleasure to forge direct, nurturing relationships with my clients as we work to diminish life’s distress and increase personal satisfaction.

I practice from a psychodynamic, attachment-based lens to build awareness of how you evolved, who you are today, and who you envision yourself to be within a connected, safe therapeutic relationship. We work toward creating what you decide is meaningful. I use a range of interdisciplinary techniques to tailor treatment to my clients. I am LQBTQIA+ affirmative.

We can address anxiety, depression, trauma, guilt, grief, shame, creative blocks, coping skills, communication skills, intimacy issues, automatic thoughts, identity changes, problematic behavior patterns, post-partum issues, new parenting stressors, narcissistic abuse, self-acceptance, situational challenges, relational problems, stage of life issues,

sex and gender positivity, strength awareness, constructed narratives, increasing mindfulness, expanding awareness and insight to create lasting change. I believe therapy can include lightheartedness and humor.

I attended the University of Notre Dame and finished my BFA at UCLA. I have a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. Before entering private practice, I trained in community mental health at Counseling West.

The beginning is often the most difficult step in any worthy endeavor. I invite you to reach out to explore the benefits therapy holds for you.

Shelly Stover

I’m a therapist based in Los Angeles and provide online and in-person therapy for people in California. Although I work with a variety of clients, I specialize in couples work, parental and maternal mental health, anxiety, people pleasers, relational trauma, and clients interested in exploring their sexual intimacy in a non-judgemental space. In short, I work with people who are struggling in their relationships and often times this includes couples and parents. Before working as a therapist I was a doula and childbirth educator and I’m passionate about helping clients expand during life changes that can impact their identity and connection to others.

My approach is relational. I use empathy, humor, and curiosity as I offer a space of safety and security to process life’s challenges. I recognize the therapeutic connection as an opportunity for developing greater understanding, acceptance, and growth in your life. In session, I incorporate mindful and somatic exercises that teach you to decipher your body’s messages so you can learn how to trust yourself.

I obtained a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and trained at Counseling West, which is a depth-based community counseling center. I have also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM), IFS, and Postpartum Support International (PSI). I have given different presentations on Maternal Reproductive Health and Intimacy.

I look forward to meeting you where you are and working with you.

Jaclyn Simon

I can offer you a concrete path towards healing, developing your own voice and self compassion.  I offer virtual session for anyone residing in California. I am psychodynamically oriented and believe that effective treatment must be customized to your unique self and needs. As such, I draw from a blend of evidence-based modalities, including mindfulness training, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic/body scan techniques. I work with people going through life transitions, depression, anxiety, postpartum adjustment, chronic pain, attachment, trauma and health anxiety. I also work with survivors of Narcissistic Personality Disorder abuse. My approach is intuitive, holistic, compassionate, and approachable. I am inspired by mind body integration, inner child healing, and cultivating your own voice, self love, confidence, and authenticity in your relationships and life. I am also trained in EMDR, a powerful tool for processing and trauma.

I obtained a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, where I studied depth psychology. I also have a background in academia and the arts and hold a Masters in Comparative Literature from University of Southern California, as well as a Masters in Art Theory and Criticism from Art Center in Pasadena. I enjoys bringing her creative background into her practice.

I invite you to take the first step toward reconnecting to you. I look forward to working with you.
